Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Clinic

The Jacobus Center provides a STI testing and treatment program for the Cortland County Health Department.

You are eligible for this program if you:
  1. Have symptoms of an STI.
  2. Have concerns about an STI because you or your partner have had unprotected sex or a positive STI test.

Covered Services


  1. Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis Testing and Treatment
  2. Hepatitis B Vaccine (Minimal Administration Fee)
  3. HIV Testing

Things You Should Know About HIV


  • 18% of people newly diagnosed with HIV in NYS are age 50 years or older.
  • 40% of those living with HIV/AIDS are age 50 years or older.
  • 1 in 5 HIV+ people are unaware of their status.
  • The CDC recommends HIV testing for everyone at least once as a part of routine healthcare and for high risk groups more often.
