Text Box: Text Box: Formed in 1994 the Cortland County Search Team is comprised of Firefighters from across the county. The team has 23 active    members who are trained in advanced search skills and assist local emergency response organizations and the Department of         Environmental Conservation on searches.

Text Box: Formed in 1996, the Cortland County Critical Incident Stress Debriefing Team (CSID) is composed of 12 trained individuals from several emergency service organizations including Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, Mental Health, and Red Cross.

Utilizing the Jeffrey Mitchell M.D. stress debriefing program the team assists emergency service workers cope with extraordinary situations and events. On the average the team responds to approximately 5-6 incidents a year and is available for response 24 hours a day.

Activation of the team can be made through the Coordinators Office or by call 1-315-490-4222.
