Cortland County, New York, solicits proposals for a radio communications network that will support mission critical communications for all of the County’s departments both first responders as well as local government. This Request for Proposals (RFP) describes requirements for several components, including, but not limited to, the acquisition and installation of: a seven channel 700 MHz APCO Project 25 Trunking radio system including all hardware; software; towers and ancillary equipment; subscribers; dispatch network; network monitoring equipment; and digital microwave network necessary for a turnkey communications system. In addition the County would like to upgrade its current mobile data network to a more robust IP version.
