DISCUSSION
Department Update: Brian Parker distributed a Buildings & Grounds activity report for November (A copy of the report is available from Angie Wyatt or Carletta Edwards in the County Administration Offices for review).
Courthouse Maintenance/Lockup: Steve Dafoe asked if anyone is available after hours for any maintenance and to lock up. Brian said all anyone has to do is to call the Buildings & Grounds Department. In his absence, Don Fuller and Dave Bennett are available for such requests.
Courthouse Roof: Brian advised the Committee that the Courthouse roof was leaking causing some interior damage and his staff is presently working on cleanup.
Courthouse Crow Problem: Steve Dafoe asked Brian if he had placed owls at the Courthouse to eliminate the crow problem. Brian said that he had 2 owls placed there and found a couple of crows sitting next to an owl, thus this method is not working.
First Transit Request: First Transit has requested the use of the auditorium on December 17, 2004 to hold 2 Public Hearings to advise the public of route change proposals. Since this is in the best interest to the public the rental fee will be waved. A copy of the proposed changes are available from Angie Wyatt or Carletta Edwards in the County Administration Offices.
Use of vacant Election Office at the Courthouse: Steve Dafoe asked if the courts could temporarily use the vacant Elections Office at the Courthouse for Attorney/Client conferences. Scott Schrader said that the office could be used temporarily only and Brian should include the use of this office in billing the Unified Court System for maintenance/repair reimbursement.
