Sheriff
Department- Sell two (Drug Forfeiture) vehicles:
Sheriff
Lee Price and Undersheriff Herb Barnhart explained that these vehicles are
very expensive to maintain, there are no local service stations in Cortland so
the vehicles have to be taken to Syracuse.
Lee Price indicated that they are going to accept bids first and if
they do not sell they will go to auction.
Lee Price only needs the Committee’s blessing to proceed.
By a concensus of the JPS Committee it was approved that the 2 vehicles
be sold.
Watkins
Glen – Lee Price
advised the Committee that 9 Sheriff’s Deputies will be working at the
Watkins Glen races this weekend.
Virgil
Tower – Bob Duell
advised the Committee that the Virgil Communications Tower was struck by
lightening. They had it repaired
and everyone is using it. He
would like name it Fire/Emergency Management Communications.
It was suggested that a policy be written.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:05a.m
