DISCUSSION
Moose Property – County
Attorney
Mr. Van Donsel informed the Committee that the Robbins Tobacco property acquisition will still be moving forward.
Mr. Van Donsel further explained that he has been in negotiations regarding the two remaining residential properties. He stated that the original settlement for the Cole property was $20,000 and the Lissberger property was $19875.96. Mr. Van Donsel further stated that he had received a settlement request for the Maniaci property but after review of the request it was determined that there was no loss suffered instead there was a net gain. He added that he has sent a letter to Ms. Maniaci regarding this and has not received a response yet. Mr. Van Donsel expressed that he has negotiated a settlement for the Cole property in the amount of $12,475. He further explained that the Lissberger settlement had harder numbers but he was able to negotiate a settlement price of $17,433.40. Mr. Van Donsel requested the approval of the Budget & Finance Committee to settle the Cole property and the Lissberger property. Mr. Tagliente made a motion to have the County Attorney settle the Cole property for $12,475 and the Lissberger property for $17,433.40; seconded by Mr. Clark. Mr. Tagliente expressed that he was not in favor of these settlements. Committee members discussed the original sale prices of the Cole property for $90,000 and the Lissberger property for $73,000. Mr. Schrader inquired about the Lissberger property being sold. He stated that the Real Property Tax Service Office has no record of the sale and further stated that if the property was not sold the County may be interested in purchasing it. Mr. Van Donsel stated that he did believe the property was sold. Ms. Price stated that she felt the Committee should hold off until the sale of the property could be confirmed. Mr. Tagliente requested that this be put off until the next meeting, December 13, 2007. The consensus of the Budget & Finance Committee was to table discussion regarding this until the December 13, 2007, Budget & Finance Committee.
