MOTION BY CAROL TYTLER – 2ND BY TOM HARTNETT TO APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE MAY 5, 2004 MEETING WITH AN ADDITION OF THE 7% ADMINISTRATIVE FEE FOR THE SNOWMOBILE CLUBS

RESOLUTIONS

1. Authorize Agreements-Snowmobile Clubs (Planning Department) MOTION BY CAROL TYTLER – 2ND BY PAUL ALLEN – ALL VOTED IN FAVOR – PASSED

Justification: Dan Dineen reiterated that this is a State grant for trail maintenance and grooming of existing trails throughout Cortland County. The County receives a 7% administrative fee this grant. A loose federation cannot be formed because if the Clubs do not fulfill their obligation it would come back on the County. The Clubs have been unable to form an Association. They do not have enough volunteers for their own clubs much less getting someone to represent them on a County Snowmobile Club Association.

DISCUSSIONS

PLANNING DEPARTMENT (Dan Dineen) – Dan gave a departmental update. The Town of Preble and Town of Cortlandville have submitted Zoning plans. Phase II of Storm Water Protection is underway. A training session will be held on June 27, 2004 for municipalities, contractors, etc. The Agriculture District is reviewed every 8 years. Dan talked to NYS Ag & Markets about consolidating the Districts. Dan and the Committee briefly discussed the property on the corner of Fairgrounds Drive and Fisher Avenue regarding a zoning and bonding requirement for the Cortland Christian Radio Association’s tower.

Paul Allen advised the Committee that they are in contact with Senator Seward’s Office to recover funds due to the County from LLRW.

MOTION BY TOM HARTNETT – 2ND BY JOHN STEGER TO ADJOURN – ALL VOTED IN FAVOR – PASSED – ADJOURNED AT 7:55A.M.

Minutes Prepared By Angie Wyatt, Secretary to Scott Schrader.
