Discussion: Scott Schrader explained that the NYS Power Authority will evaluate all County owned buildings to determine how energy efficient they are to save money. There is no cost/fee or further obligation. The reduced costs experienced by the implementation of energy services and clean energy technology projects recommended by the NYS Power Authority will be used to fund the improvements to the facilities.
Renovation of 3rd Floor for the Public Safety Building Dispatch - $ 20,000
New Consoles and Furniture for Dispatch- $ 75,000
New 900 kW generator for County Office Building- $180,000
The funds needed for this project would come from the County’s fund balance. It would not be cost effective to Bond for this project.
