Public Flu Vaccination Clinics

Adults 18 years and older

 

 

Clinics are scheduled at 12 different locations in November, as listed below.  No appointments.  People will be served on a walk-in basis.  Both the flu and pneumococcal vaccines will be offered.  All adults should receive a yearly flu shot. The pneumococcal vaccine will be offered to adults with chronic illness and all adults age 65 and over who have never received the vaccine.  The clinics are sponsored by the Cortland County Health Department in cooperation with the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and the Area Agency on Aging.  Original Medicare insurance will be billed for those with Medicare Part B.  Those persons should bring their Medicare Card to the clinic with them.   People with Medicare managed care or Medicaid insurance should get their vaccination from their regular health care provider.  Preservative-free vaccine will be available for pregnant women.

 

FOR INDIVIDUALS NOT ENROLLED IN MEDICARE PART B, A CONTRIBUTION OF $20.00 FOR FLU AND $30.00 FOR PNEUMOCOCCAL IS REQUESTED.

 

For uninsured or under-insured children, from 6 months through 18 years of age, appointments for free flu vaccination at a future date may be made by calling 753-5203.
