DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF
THE CLASS: This is a
professional position involving supervision of students participating in a
School-to-Work program. The duties of an
incumbent in this class involve contact with various employment and community
agencies, students and teachers. The
work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Special
Education with supervision of students as the primary responsibility. Does related work as required.
TYPICAL ACTIVITIES: (Illustrative only)
·Supervises
students at individual employment sites ensuring safety, comprehension and
completion of required tasks;
·Acts as
secondary liaison between the schools, businesses, teachers and students
involved in the programs;
·Meets and
communicates with school-based coordinators on a regular basis to assist their
school districts in implementing program goals;
·Collects
documentation on student attendance and employment performance.

KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND CHARACTERISTICS:
Ability to organize and coordinate
supervision schedules; ability to write clear and accurate reports and records;
ability to establish and maintain successful working relationships; ability to
prepare and present basic oral and written reports clearly and concisely; tact
and courtesy; dependability; physical condition commensurate with the demands
of the position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency
diploma.
