PROGRAM SUPERVISOR

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: (Illustrative only)
Instructs program participants in how to safely and efficiently perform assigned activities;
Oversees the performance of assigned tasks, and inspects work performed;
Meets with participants to determine appropriate work assignments based upon the participant’s skills, abilities and physical condition;
Schedules and assigns work for participants;
Operates a motor vehicle, and transports participants to work sites and other employment-related appointments;
Prepares supply lists and expense reports pertaining to upcoming projects and
Evaluates the performance of program participants, updates participant data files on the maintains progress reports regarding ongoing projects; Welfare Management System and makes referrals to other services as necessary;
Monitors hours worked by participants, and recommends sanctions in cases of non-compliance;
Contacts potential work sites to explain the program and develop work contracts;
Makes employment recommendations to local employers, and drafts letters of recommendation;
May demonstrate work to be performed by participants or participate in projects.
FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and two (2) years public contact experience; one year which must have been coordination of activities for subordinates and/or peers.
