Title: Public Health Social Worker- Per Diem, competitive class, no benefits

Location: Cortland County Health Department – Hospice Division

Salary : $24.6236-29.9584/HR

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Master’s degree or higher in social work. Home Visiting Experience desirable.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Possession of a current license as a “licensed master social worker” issued by the New York State Department of Education.

2. Possession of a valid New York State driver’s license is required. Failure to maintain a NYS driver’s license including driving privileges throughout employment will result in disciplinary action or dismissal.

NOTE: The minimum qualifications for this position are mandated under Article 154 of New York State Education Law.

Pre-employment drug screen and/or physical required.

December 2008, October 2009, November 2009, December 2009 and December 2010 preferred list individuals will be considered for entry level positions for which they meet minimum qualifications.
