HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE RECYCLING

The County of Cortland and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation will be conducting a Household Hazardous Waste Program on September 17, 2011, at the Cortland County Recycling Center. The Recycling Center is located at 137 S. Pendleton Street in the City of Cortland. The hours of operation for the program are between the hours 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Funding for the Household Hazardous Waste Program is being provided by the County of Cortland and the NYSDEC.

All Cortland County residents interested in participating in the Household Hazardous Waste program must schedule an appointment by calling 607-756-8077, between the hours of 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday. All appointments must be scheduled prior to September 9, 2011, to participate in the program. The appointments will be issued in ½ hour time blocks, with several other Residents within the same time frame.
