STOP THE PRESSURE (4th – 8th Grade) Peer Pressure and Bullying are not easy for students to handle, because it can happen in many situations. ZAP-PEERS will teach students how to recognize these situations and resist peer pressure and bullying. Students will also learn that there is positive peer pressure and how to use it on their friends.
RELATIONSHIPS (4th – 8th Grade)
SELF-ESTEEM & GOALS (4th- 8th Grade)
ABSTINENCE–THE BEST PROTECTION (7th-8th Grade) Why does abstinence have a 20% failure rate? Because teens don’t know how to use it effectively. Students will learn what it takes to be abstinent and how to avoid situations that will decrease the effectiveness of abstinence. THROUGH THE EYES OF A TEEN (7th – 8th Grade) This program gives a teenage perspective on issues related to teen sexuality. Topics that will be covered are teen pregnancy, myths teens believe about sex, decision-making, and negotiation. GAMES – FUN! FUN! FUN! (4th – 8th Grade) "Who Wants To Be A ZAP-PEER?" and "ZAP Jeopardy" trivia games are great tools for reviewing topics taught in class. Some topics covered are birth control & STD’s. Game questions can be altered to different topics to meet the needs of the class.
