County Administrator
The County Administrator is the chief administrative officer and budget officer of Cortland County. The County Administrator has all of the executive powers and performs the duties conferred by law upon a head of the administrative branch of the County, including all County departments, agencies and offices. The County Administrator is appointed by, works under the general direction of, and serves at the pleasure of the Cortland County Legislature.

IT is responsible for maintaining and updating software for several departments and agencies, troubleshooting technology related issues and facilitating the voice communications network for the entire county.

The Planning Department serves the current and future residents of the County to help them prepare for economic development, industry growth and increases in population.
