How Do I...
We all have a responsibility in preventing Medicaid Fraud.
As an Employee
You have a moral and ethical responsibility to ensure that any service you provide or process a bill for is correct.
As a Patient
Never give personal or insurance information to anyone. Be aware of your medical care and don't be afraid to ask questions! Keep a record of what procedures you've had.
As a Taxpayer
Fraud costs us all precious tax dollars. If you are aware of or suspect fraud, report it!
If you suspect fraud by a Health Department service provider or employee let a supervisor know or contact the Compliance Officer immediately!
Contact the compliance officer at:
Lisa Perfetti, Compliance Officer
Cortland County Health Department
60 Central Avenue

Confidential reports may be made directly to the
Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG)
or by phone at 1-877-873-7283.
