Our Mission

The mission of the Cortland County Area Agency on Aging is to advocate, plan, develop and provide a coordinated system of programs and services on behalf of all aging citizens of Cortland County so that they might live with independence and dignity.


The Cortland County Area Agency on Aging is operated by the Cortland County Legislature in conjunction with the NYS Office for the Aging under Title III of the Older Americans Act of 2016, as amended. Homebound Services is funded by the Community Services for the Elderly Program, Wellness in Nutrition, Title IIIB and IIIC of the Older Americans Act, and the Cortland County Legislature.

  • 14 homebound seniors have greater independence through the Make-A-Ramp Program
  • 59,493 congregate meals were served to 2,034 individuals
  • 76,762 home delivered meals were served to 335 individuals
